A new subject matter has been added to my easel: the fish. And I’m wondering what took me so long! Do I fish? No. But my father grew up fishing with his father and talked about doing so often; this is an ode to those two dear men. Fish also happen to have a plethora of beautiful colors in them, making for a rather lovely model. I tend to focus on Virginia wildlife, so the fish in this series are all found in and around sweet Virginia.

This is an original watercolor on paper with a deckled (torn) edge. I painted this piece vertically, but it can be hung either horizontally or vertically. The painting comes unframed (approx 22”x26”), and professional framing is available (bringing the overall size to approx 28”x32”). If you’d like to have it framed, choose that option below and I will mock up a few options for you—natural wood, metallic, colored lacquer, etc.
