Springtime in NYC means the flower beds around the city—by the water, on the side streets, everywhere—begin bursting with tulips in every color you can imagine. I look forward to their blooms all winter and head out to paint them from life when they start opening up. After having painted a few tulips at a time, I was itching to make something larger, so I took three pieces of watercolor paper and put them together to make one long piece of a whole gaggle of these tulips.

This is an original watercolor on paper with a straight edge. The painting comes unframed (14”x33”) and professional framing (approx 20”x39”) is available. If you’d like to have it framed, choose the framed option at check-out and I will mock up different framing options (metallic, colored lacquers, natural woods, etc).
