Oysters are a motif a return to time and again, and this spring’s release is no different. You may know the history: I began painting them during lockdown at my parents’ house in Virginia, hence the name “Oysters in Quarantine.” No longer in quarantine, still painting oysters!

This is an original watercolor on paper with a deckled (torn) edge. I painted this piece vertically, but it can be hung either horizontally or vertically. The painting comes unframed (approx 22”x30”), and professional framing is available (bringing the overall size to approx 28”x36”). If you’d like to have it framed, choose that option below and I will mock up a few options for you—natural wood, metallic, colored lacquer, etc.
