SUMMER IN LE SUD: Lac de la Bonde with my crooked tree, July 10

$1,050.00

Lac de la Bonde is a manmade lake about 30 minutes from Aix-en-Provence and a favorite outing with the Leo Marchutz School each summer. I’ve been painting in the shade of this same tree for three summers now, finding newness each time. The water is this beautiful blue and it’s a local spot with lots of families and not very touristy. I paint in the morning, break for lunch, and make another painting in the afternoon. This is the morning painting.

This painting is part of Summer in le Sud (“luh sood”, a French word meaning “the south of France”), a series of paintings and watercolors made en plein air (outside, from life) as an artist-in-residence with the Leo Marchutz School.

Original oil painting on canvas. Painting size 16”x20”; overall size framed is approx 17”x21”. This painting comes framed in a natural oak floating frame and is ready to hang.

Free local delivery for addresses around NYC and near Charlottesville, Richmond, and Williamsburg, VA; this is automatically done at checkout. Otherwise, a $50 shipping and handling fee will be applied at checkout.

Merci for choosing to have a piece of my summertime on your walls!
