SUMMER IN LE SUD: Le Pont du Gard, July 28, no. 3
My second-to-last painting day this summer and I made the most of it, painting at le Pont du Gard. A favorite motif, this is an ancient aqueduct built in 30 AD (or so). Just a little intimidating to paint!!! This is one of two oil paintings made that day.
This painting is part of Summer in le Sud (“luh sood”, a French word meaning “the south of France”), a series of paintings and watercolors made en plein air (outside, from life) as an artist-in-residence with the Leo Marchutz School.
Original oil painting on canvas. Painting size 11”x14”; overall size framed is approx 12”x15”. This painting comes framed in a natural oak floating frame and is ready to hang.
Free local delivery for addresses around NYC and near Charlottesville, Richmond, and Williamsburg, VA; this is automatically done at checkout. Otherwise, a $20 shipping and handling fee will be applied at checkout.
Merci for choosing to have a piece of my summertime on your walls!
