SUMMER IN LE SUD: Cannes, July 8, no. 2
SUMMER IN LE SUD: Cannes, July 8, no. 2
Cannes is along la Côte d’Azur, that famed stretch of sandy beaches beloved by vacationers for ages (Fitzgerald and Hemingway included). A dear friend of mine grew up nearby and happened to be visiting his parents at the same time I was in Aix, so I popped down the coast for a visit. I made a couple of watercolors on the sunny, sandy beach before meeting up; this is one of them.
This painting is part of Summer in le Sud (“luh sood”, a French word meaning “the south of France”), a series of paintings and watercolors made en plein air (outside, from life) as an artist-in-residence with the Leo Marchutz School.
Original watercolor on paper with straight edges; unframed size 11”x14”.
If you’d like to have this framed, please select that option from the drop-down menu and check out. I’ll then email you with mock-ups of the painting in a few frame options that I recommend. Framed size approx 15x19 inches; please allow an additional three weeks for framing.
USPS First-Class shipping is free for the continental USA.
Merci for choosing to have a piece of my summertime on your walls!
