This painting was made en plein air off of the coast of the Atlantic from San Juan, Puerto Rico, where I spent a week in February to escape NYC’s frigid temperatures. There are several other paintings in the series of this same view, all a bit different; this was the last sunset I painted in Puerto Rico from a spot called Escambron Beach.
