Every springtime, New York City erupts in glorious blooms. After a particularly brutal winter, I was especially glad to see them coming up through the earth this year and got my paints out to capture them as soon as I could. I set myself up in front of the flowers, usually by the Hudson River, and paint them right in front of me; a moving studio!
