A new offering: illustrations! These are drawn in ink and have some color touches in watercolor. Unlike my other custom work, I do include features (eyes, mouth, nose) for these, in a more illustrative way than my other work.

I am accepting children and dogs for these 5”x7” illustrations, one child or dog per illustration.

Reference photos: please email to lucyclarespooner@gmail.com after placing your order.
Children should show a soft smile (no teeth), either in profile or straight ahead at the camera. I’ve found that it’s better if the photo is taken for this express purpose, rather than using one that you already have.
Dogs should have ears perked, looking as adorable as they can be, either in profile or straight ahead. Reference photos in profile are particularly successful, especially for breeds with long snouts (dachshunds, German Shepherds, etc).
Please see examples; if your reference does not match the examples, I will direct you to my other custom listing (here). I’m offering these illustrations at a lower rate and in exchange will only be able to work with suitable reference photos.

Lead time is 6-8 weeks.

Professional framing is available; exact finishes for framing will be discussed via email. Please allow an additional 2-3 weeks for framing.
