A native Virginian, I grew up going crabbing at my uncle’s house close to the York River. We put a lump of chicken in the water and watched for the crabs’ claws latch on. Lunch was served… after shelling the crabs ourselves, of course! Working for our meals!!

This is an original watercolor on paper with a deckled (torn) edge. The painting comes framed (approx 17”x20”) in a cobalt blue lacquer frame.
