A new subject matter has been added to my easel: the fish. And I’m wondering what took me so long! Do I fish? No. But my father grew up fishing with his father and talked about doing so often; this is an ode to those two dear men. Fish also happen to have a plethora of beautiful colors in them, making for a rather lovely model. I tend to focus on Virginia wildlife, so the fish in this series are all found in and around sweet Virginia.

This is an original watercolor on paper with a deckled (torn) edge. The painting comes unframed (approx 5”x7”), and professional framing is available (bringing the overall size to approx 11”x13”).
